I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 299’.
October 26, 2022, Journal Entry:
I am so drawn to pink flowers, especially when they are surrounded by lush green leaves like this pink double bloom Hibiscus flower. I hesitated to post this as I have been posting so many flowers lately, but I must admit I do love all kinds of flowers! This bloom was just sticking out in a shaded area of the shrub begging for attention, as I was walking by it on a pathway in my sister’s community.
Pink Double Bloom Hibiscus have multiple petals and can be grown like other hibiscus shrubs. They are in the Tropical Hibiscus family and will bloom periodically throughout the year in mild climates. It a bright flower native to China (in the tropical regions) with dark green lush leaves. The California weather is perfect for them, and you can see Hibiscus shrubs growing all over the Southern California landscapes.
