I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 248’.
September 5, 2022, Journal Entry:
There is a succulent on my mom’s patio, called a Snake Plant, and has long sword like leaves. It sits on a stand and is high up from the ground, so this sweet little hummingbird has claimed one of the leaves as its sentry spot to protect its territory around the bottlebrush bushes, about 10 feet away from this spot. It sits here all day long with flights back and forth as it chases away other hummers from the nectar flowers of the bushes. I got this shot of it as it just landed and tried to balance on the top of the leaf.
