I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 52’.
February 21, 2022, Journal Entry:
My husband brought me a bouquet of Lilies last week and most of them were buds with one yellow lily showing. As the week went on this pretty melon orange toned lily opened up and looked so pretty. I took the bouquet outside to get a nice photograph of them against dark shaded trees as the sun shined on them. I captured this close up with the stamen and petals showing all the color tones within the bloom. This is an Asiatic Lily.
Asiatic lilies are star shaped flowers, popular in flower bouquets because they last long. They are also easy to grow in gardens. They are a hybrid lily and are grown from bulbs to bloom in the late Spring and Summer seasons. They come in a variety of colors and the bloom size is around 4 to 6 inches. Most of them are unscented.
