Description
I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 264’.
September 21, 2022, Journal Entry:
There is a geranium plant growing on the back patio and I photographed one of the pink blooms that was growing straight up and tall. I edited it with a heavy painterly style in brassy tones. I also added a mild texture.
Geranium plants (Pelargonium) have been around for over 200 years. They have fragrant flowers when they bloom and originated in South Africa. In the late 1700’s they came over from France to North America and Thomas Jefferson is thought to have planted the first cuttings which then spread from there as they were shared with family and friends. They come in a variety of colors and types now.
