Description
This pretty Shasta Daisy practically glows in the sunlight against the dark background. The vivid yellow center of the flower stands out among the white petals. This one would certainly take a bit of time to play the nostalgic game of 'He loves me, He loves me not'.
Shasta Daisy flowers (Leucanthemum x superbum) were first hybridized in 1890 by a gentleman named Luther Burbank. He was wanting to create a super white flower. It has a long history after that of many others discovering it and transporting it to other areas of America. There are many types of these flowers now and they are perennials that are easy growers that can bloom from July to September.
