Description
This is a big yellow and wild coneflower growing in a field nearby me. It is a close up of the flower with the focus on the cone area details. The sun was out and brightly shining which made this flower almost glow.
Yellow Coneflowers (Echinacea paradoxa) are a perennial flower in the Asteraceae family of flowers. They grow up to 2 to 3 feet high. This one was about 2 feet tall. Because these flowers are yellow they are in a class by themselves (they are usually pink and that is the paradox with these flowers).
