Description
I joined the 7-day challenge starting August 21, 2021 and the theme for this challenge was “Black and White”. Here is my Day 3 – This is Queen Anne’s Lace Wildflowers in a meadow. Processed in black and white for this challenge.
Queen Anne’s Lace flowers (Daucus Carota) are also called Wild Carrot and are in the Apiaceae family of flowers. It is an herb that blossoms in its second year of growth and will wither after that. It is native to warm regions of Asia and Europe and was imported to America as early as the 1500’s. You see this flower growing along roadsides and in meadows from June through September. As they bloom full they have an umbrella shape at the top.
