April 1, 2022, Journal Entry:
This is another rose in my mother’s garden. It bloomed in this yellow gold tone with hints of pink at the edges. I processed the image with an illustrated and slight painterly style to emphasize the blooming petals.
Yellow roses have been around since at least the 18th century; discovered growing in the Middle East and Asia. Yellow roses mostly are sent to symbolize happiness, friendship and care. They are used in wedding bridal bouquets as happiness. A yellow rose with red or pink tips can mean you are falling in love with the person you give them to. At any rate, they are so pretty and look like a cheerful flower.
