I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 97.
April 7, 2022, Journal Entry:
We had a day of rain about a week ago, very much needed in SoCal, so after the rain I went out to take photos of the flowers with raindrops. This is a peach-gold toned rose in my mother’s planter garden that was in the process of unfurling its petals. Most of the rain drops gathered on the middle of the flower petals that were still nestled together. I edited this image with a slight vignette so the rose's tones would stand out.
Yellow roses have been around since at least the 18th century, discovered growing in the Middle East and Asia. Yellow roses mostly are sent to symbolize happiness, friendship and care. They are used in wedding bridal bouquets as happiness.
