Description
I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 88.
March 29, 2022, Journal Entry:
There are some hedges around my mother’s home that have these little white flowers blooming on them within the variegated leaves. I found out these bushes are called Variegated Pittosporum. The leaves edges are mottled with cream tones against the green and the flowers are white, which makes a pretty close up. I processed the image this morning with an illustrated technique to emphasize the lines in the leaves.
Variegated Pittosporum (Pittosporum tobira Variegatum) are also known as Japanese Mock Orange. They are an evergreen shrub and the flowers have a hint of orange fragrance. They can make a great hedge row as they can grow up to 8 feet tall. They do best in warmer climates.
