I joined a 5-day challenge starting January 30, 2023 and the theme for this challenge was “Let’s Go To The…Beach!”. Here is my Day 2 – I don’t live near a beach but while I was in California last year, I was able to visit some beaches a few times and take in the ocean air and salty breezes. It was so relaxing to be there and watch the waves. I enjoyed taking photographs of the scenery. I was taking photographs of the ocean water as it gently washed over the rocks on the shore and noticed one of the rocks that was covered in barnacles looked like a sea lion sticking it head up out of the water. Do you see it? It stood out to me first thing when I uploaded my photographs; it even has some seaweed strands hanging from the chin area that could be whiskers! I edited the image with a mild toning enhancement to bring out the variety of colors in the rocks. I believe the term is Pareidolia when you see things or faces in things.
