Description
After a recent rainfall I went outside with my macro lens to look for interesting raindrop photo opportunities. This Iris flower petal had many water droplets resting on it and I thought it was interesting that the droplets didn’t run down the curve of the petal. I also liked the lines of the petal flowing to the bottom of the curve.
Some gardeners state that the name of the Iris comes from the Greek goddess by that name, others state that since the Greek word for iris is rainbow, that the name comes because of the many colors that iris flowers come in. Whatever the origin they are a majestic flower.
