Description
The Iris flower is an interesting flower and the various angles to view it makes interesting images. I processed this image in an impressionistic and painterly style to bring out the vivid colors and lines of the flower.
Some gardeners state that the name of the Iris comes from the Greek goddess by that name, others state that since the greek word for iris is rainbow, that the name comes because of the many colors that iris flowers come in. Whatever the origin they are a majestic flower.
