Description
I joined the 5-Day FAA Challenge for a ‘Door or Doors’ in November 2023 and I created this artwork today for Day 1. I enjoy working in graphic art and patterns and thought this challenge would be good for me to be creative for this holiday season coming up. I obtained this old door from the public domain and then went to town to edit and decorate it. I changed some colors in the door and cropped it to just show the door, frame and lintel. I added the flourishes to the top, middle and bottom of the door. I then processed the image with an animated technique for an illustrated cartoonish appearance. I added the wreath, the sign, the words “Merry Christmas!” to the sign and added ‘snow’ with the editing tool paint brush, dot by dot to depict snow starting to pile up on areas of the scene. I then added the snow falling lightly to the whole image for a festive Holiday Christmas setting.
