I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 4’.
January 4, 2022, Journal Entry:
So, I packed up my Christmas tree and ornaments this morning, gently placing them in their respective boxes to bid adieu until next time. I wanted to say ‘until next year’ but we are already in the year! I usually box it all up the day after New Year's Day, but it has been so cold lately we didn’t want to go outside to the shed to retrieve all the boxes. This chore always makes me feel a little blue too, the nostalgia and memories come flooding back as I put some of the special ornaments, old and new, in the box. But then I have to remember that the year goes by fast and in November I will be joyful again when taking them out and decorating the tree in the season.
I decided to make this photograph a bit more interesting in putting a swirly border around it and the text “Until Next Time” on the image.
Christmas is celebrated in many parts of the world on the 25th day of December with gift exchanges to remind us of the gift of God in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We rejoice that He came to earth, born in a manger and grew up to take away the sins of the world by His death on the cross as the perfect sacrificial Lamb. We commemorate His birth and the amazing grace of God at this holy season of the year.
