Description
I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 111.
April 21, 2022, Journal Entry:
This image started out as a macro photograph of a pretty purple pansy flower. I played with the editing of it and really liked the outcome as a watercolor technique made it resemble a butterfly in tones of aqua, pink and lavender. I also created the subtle rays of colors to bleed from the center outward. In my eyes, the final design gives the impression of an abstract butterfly.
Pansies are easy to grow flowers. The origin of the name comes from the French word Penser which means to ponder or think. They usually symbolize loving thoughts and most pansies symbolize affection, love and sometimes romance. The flowers are edible and sometimes used for medicinal purposes.
