Description
I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 112.
April 22, 2022, Journal Entry:
Today is Earth Day and so I decided to make a graphic art piece with a flower from my mom’s garden and with the earth in the center. It is an African Daisy flower with non-perfect petals, the one on the bottom left is slightly curled and signifies that there is more to be done with protecting God's created nature.
African Daisy flowers (Osteospermum pps.) are in the Asteraceae family which include daisies and sunflowers. It is vibrant in colors and the plant with flowers can grow up to three feet tall. They are drought tolerant and easy to grow. They grow well here in California.
Earth day is an annual event for bringing awareness to the environment and protection of it. It was actually started in 1970 for education of protecting the earth’s natural resources.
