I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 74.
March 15, 2022, Journal Entry:
One of my sisters lives in Malibu and while visiting her we heard this mysterious sounding noise from high up in the trees. She said it is the wild parrots that come to eat the coral tree blossoms. Of course, I went outside with my camera to try to get a photograph. They didn’t stay in one place too long, but I did manage to get this one as it was picking at a blossom. The legend is that there were people in the area who were raising three of these parrots and when they moved, they let them out to be wild. Apparently, they are surviving because there are around twelve now from the group that were set free originally. They were fun to watch and hear and I am glad they survived what might have been a traumatic event. They are definitely wild now.
