July 25, 2022, Journal Entry:
One of my daughters had a sweet little dachshund that passed away last week. Her family had him for over 15 years and he grew up with her sons, so he was a very special part of her family. She asked my husband to make a wooden box for the cremated ashes and she asked me to do something artistic to put on the box. I painted this picture of him on a wooden plaque that my husband will attach to the box. I finished it and edited it this morning to bring out the impressionistic tones a bit. It is a rudimentary rendering of the sweet pooch but it does capture his sweet spirit with his gray beard, I think. This image is not for sale.

Hello! My main focus is nature photography, which is my favorite subject, especially flora and fauna that are naturally around my area in North Texas. In addition, I have taken to processing some of my photographs with digital art effects which brings out an artistic flair in an abstract or painterly style. I dabble in other genre of photography such as food, architecture and road trip travels. I also enjoy pairing up my photographic art with Bible Scripture. My Photographic Scripture Collection is called 'Faith-Devotional' and is listed first in my Collections tab because I want to honor God first in all that I do in life and art. I have slowly started to paint again which I haven't done since the 1970's. I have a few of my paintings...
