I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 341’.
December 7, 2022, Journal Entry:
Going through my archived snow photographs, I found this one of a pretty Blue Jay bird that I got a nice close up of as it landed close to the house looking for something to eat, while it was snowing. I think he said, ‘Where is the food?’ - during winter we put bird seed out to help the birds that stay around, but blue jays are known to squawk anyway. We rarely get snow in Texas but on this particular day, we got a huge amount. It was beautiful and this blue jay made it even more beautiful. I edited the image with a watercolor painterly style and rustic off-white border.
The Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata) is in the Magpie and Crow family of birds. It is a loud bird and is mostly in the Eastern parts of the United States, although they are moving westward slowly. Hello! My main focus is nature photography, which is my favorite subject, especially flora and fauna that are naturally around my area in North Texas. In addition, I have taken to processing some of my photographs with digital art effects which brings out an artistic flair in an abstract or painterly style. I dabble in other genre of photography such as food, architecture and road trip travels. I also enjoy pairing up my photographic art with Bible Scripture. My Photographic Scripture Collection is called 'Faith-Devotional' and is listed first in my Collections tab because I want to honor God first in all that I do in life and art.
