Artist's Description
This is a close up of a pretty Iris flower which has unusual peach pink tones throughout the whole flower. Bearded Iris, which this flower is, have a different color at the top of their petals most of the time. The dark green background really makes this pretty flower stand out.
Some gardeners state that the name of the Iris comes from the Greek goddess by that name, others state that since the Greek word for iris is rainbow, that the name is because of the many colors that iris flowers come in.
