February 19, 2022, Journal Entry:
We had a new visitor to our little seed dish on our deck rail. This beautiful Red-bellied Woodpecker came to grab some sunflowers out of the dish and threw the little seeds in the air. If you look above him to the left a bit you can see a tiny seed in the air. He just blasted through the dish to get the sunflower seeds. A back story of that dish is that my mom made it; she is legally blind and she joined pottery classes through her Senior Citizens center a couple years ago. She made some small things like this dish-bowl - I have several of the things she made and I use this one for a seed dish on our deck rail in the winter season. It is just a little spot so birds that miss out on the bird feeder in the trees can get a morsel or two over here.

Hello! My main focus is nature photography, which is my favorite subject, especially flora and fauna that are naturally around my area in North Texas. In addition, I have taken to processing some of my photographs with digital art effects which brings out an artistic flair in an abstract or painterly style.
