June 8, 2022, Journal Entry:
My mother’s rose bushes are blooming up tall and beautiful. This one caught my eye because of its two-tone petals of red and light pink. All the flowers in my mom’s garden makes her happy as she sits out on her front porch bench and looks at them. I edited this portrait in a mild painterly style.
The red rose is considered a romantic rose and expresses love or desire and sometimes it conveys respect or devotion.
Pink roses signify sweet emotions like joy and gratitude. They have a sweet and innocent grace about them and look elegant in a garden.
So, I am going to say this particular rose signifies devotion and joy.

Hello! My main focus is nature photography, which is my favorite subject, especially flora and fauna that are naturally around my area in North Texas. In addition, I have taken to processing some of my photographs with digital art effects which brings out an artistic flair in an abstract or painterly style. I dabble in other genre of photography such as food, architecture and road trip travels. I also enjoy pairing up my photographic art with Bible Scripture. My Photographic Scripture Collection is called 'Faith-Devotional' and is listed first in my Collections tab because I want to honor God first in all that I do in life and art. I have slowly started to paint again which I haven't done since the 1970's. I have a few of my paintings...
