I joined the FAA Image Challenge in August with the theme of ‘Wealth’ and I was thinking what is wealth to me? So I have decided to make graphic art statement images with pretty patterns and font for this challenge. This is Day One, which expresses the number one source of what I feel is my wealth, which is my faith in God. This morning I started with a vintage plaid background that I reworked into peachy pink and green tones with yellow-gold accents and a distressed technique. I created a circle transparency out of a vintage floral background and reworked that into a faded light green tone to complement the plaid background. I placed a graphic transparency of a decorative circle, and changed the color to a peachy-pink tone with a drop shadow of light green, around the floral circle and inserted the statement “Faith is Wealth” in a bold font. I made the ‘T’ in “faith” as a cross in peachy pink tones. I also placed a graphic heart vine on each side of the image, which I reworked into a yellow-gold tone with a peachy-pink drop shadow. The overall image makes a pretty statement of one of my views of wealth.
