I like to create digital and graphic art from my original photographs and this Bearded Iris flower was a good candidate to try out some of my digital art skills. I do really like the sharp geometric shapes in the stamen and the variegated tones in the petals to make this abstract style flower. The pinks and aqua blue make it unique.
Some gardeners state that the name of the Iris comes from the Greek goddess by that name, others state that since the Greek word for iris is rainbow, that the name is because of the many colors that iris flowers come in.

Hello! My main focus is nature photography, which is my favorite subject, especially flora and fauna that are naturally around my area in North Texas. In addition, I have taken to processing some of my photographs with digital art effects which brings out an artistic flair in an abstract or painterly style. I dabble in other genre of photography such as food, architecture and road trip travels. I also enjoy pairing up my photographic art with Bible Scripture. My Photographic Scripture Collection is called 'Faith-Devotional' and is listed first in my Collections tab because I want to honor God first in all that I do in life and art.
