Description
I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 311’.
November 7, 2022, Journal Entry:
This Camellia flower in my sister’s garden had just bloomed open but still had a few petals curled in around the stamen of the flower which made me think of shyness. The pink hue of this flower is so vivid, and the innocent impressions of the petals made an interesting image for me to observe.
Camellia plants (Camellia japonica) are a type of shrub which are evergreen and can bloom during the Fall season in warmer climates like here in California. They are slow growing and can reach up to 12 feet tall. They are native to Asia and Philippines and come in a variety of colors of flowers.
