September 20, 2022, Journal Entry:
This is a macro close-up of a Chrysanthemum flower as it is blooming and unfurling its petals. The center of the flower was still folded together as if waiting for the sun to give the prompt of time to open. The golden orange tones with a touch of green remind me of Autumn and the Fall season. I edited the image with a painterly style and texture.
Chrysanthemums are also called Mums and come in a variety of colors and shapes. They are in the Asteraceae family of flowers. Most have originated from Asia and northeastern Europe. In the United States we see them as Fall season flower although they can bloom in the late Spring as well.

Hello! My main focus is nature photography, which is my favorite subject, especially flora and fauna that are naturally around my area in North Texas. In addition, I have taken to processing some of my photographs with digital art effects which brings out an artistic flair in an abstract or painterly style. I dabble in other genre of photography such as food, architecture and road trip travels. I also enjoy pairing up my photographic art with Bible Scripture. My Photographic Scripture Collection is called 'Faith-Devotional' and is listed first in my Collections tab because I want to honor God first in all that I do in life and art.
