Description
This is a honey bee on an Indian Blanket flower doing its thing in pollinating and collecting pollen for honey. We need bees in order for our environment to thrive. I processed this into a circular shape with the words ‘Save the Bees’ on it. I chose red for the background color but you may change it as you desire on certain products.
Honey bees fly and make nests of wax for storing honey. We need bees to pollinate our crops so please do not kill them. This is a western honey bee. People also use their wax for candles and lip balm.
Indian Blanket flowers (Gaillardia pulchella) are also known as Fire Wheel flowers. It is the state flower of Oklahoma but you see a lot of these in my part of north Texas as well. It grows in meadows and along the highways with other wildflowers.
