Description
I have some gladiolus flowers blooming in my garden now and this one is a pretty red punch tone. I went out early in the morning while it was just starting to get morning light and it was also cloudy. I liked how the dark tones make the flowers the stand out in this image.
Gladiolus (Iridaceae) are in a genus of perennial cormous plants. They are also known as Sword Lily and grow from bulbs planted in the Spring. They originated in South Africa and grow easily in the United States of America.
