Description
I joined a 5-day challenge starting March 6, 2023 and the theme for this challenge was “In the Kitchen”. Here is my Day 1 – I have several antique and vintage plates and platters in my kitchen and so I decided to photograph them. Here is one of them that a sister-in-law gave me that she picked up at an estate sale. It is a handmade plate and commemorative of Frankfurt, Germany. She knows I am from Germany so she gifted this to me. I made a transparency of the plate and placed it on a vintage wallpaper background (since it hangs on a wood cabinet in real life). I processed the background into a green faded style, complementary to the tones in the plate, so that the plate stands out and to make it more interesting to look at.
