I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 90.
March 31, 2022, Journal Entry:
The geraniums in my mother’s planter garden have many colors and this one was a pale pink tone. I edited this close up with a slight illustrated technique and painterly style for an artsy look.
Geranium plants (Pelargonium) have been around for over 200 years. They have fragrant flowers when they bloom and originated in South Africa. In the late 1700’s they came over from France to North America and Thomas Jefferson is thought to have planted the first cuttings which then spread from there as they were shared with family and friends. They come in a variety of colors and types now.
