I joined the 365-day Journal challenge for 2022 and here is my ‘Day 1’.
January 1, 2022, Journal Entry:
I live out in the country in north Texas and because we live way out there, our closest big grocery store is 45 miles away, one way. So, about once a week or two we drive the long drive to get groceries to fill our small freezer. We drive many miles through open country, so I always love the scenery on the way. This morning we went for our long drive, and it had just rained overnight and in the early hours of the morning. There are many farms and ranches interspersed along the highway and this morning the rain made the scenes especially pretty. This farmhouse sat at the top of a hill and I loved the contrast of the golden pastures with the gray skies as well as the bare winter trees silhouetted in the front.
