Description
These pretty and dainty blue flowers were growing wild in an area of all kinds of species of flowers. I believe these are Prairie Salvia because of the shape of the flowers and beautiful blue tones of the petals. They had small droplets of dew on their petals and were leaning into the morning sun.
Prairie Salvia (Salvia pitcheri) are an herbaceous perennial flower. The flowers attract hummingbirds and bees. They start blooming in early summer and will keep blooming until the first frost. It is in the mint and sage family of plants.
